GREATER SULTENG – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Palu City is currently carrying out data collection for the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) from 1 June 2023 to 31 July 2023.
"ST2023 has started to be implemented by Palu City BPS and will last until July 31 2023," said Head of Palu City BPS, G A Nasser, Thursday (1/6/2023).
With the start of ST2023, Nasser hopes that ST2023 in Palu City can run smoothly until the specified time limit.
"The hope is that ST2023 can run smoothly and that the people being registered will be able to accept census officers and provide correct data. "So, census officers use attributes in the form of an ST2023 hat, name tag and carry a letter of assignment," he explained.
He explained that in implementing ST2023, his party divided the data collection areas into two, namely agricultural concentration areas and agricultural non-concentration areas.
RT areas with an agricultural concentration are areas that have been previously identified as having quite a lot of people living as farmers, fishermen, animal husbandry, planters, forest product collectors and so on.
"Meanwhile, non-agricultural concentration areas are areas where those who live in the area are mostly those who work in the non-agricultural sector," he said.
Based on data, Palu City has 234 RTs in agricultural concentration areas and 904 RTs in non-agricultural concentration areas. Meanwhile, the data collection method for agricultural concentration areas is data door to door and non-agricultural concentration areas are data snowballed.
"The number of officers deployed consists of 86 enumerators, 16 inspection officers as well as field officer supervisors and 4 census coordinators," he said. ULU
