3 Important Indicators in the Economic Development of Palu Municipality

Palu City BPS releases official statistical news again. Acting Head of Palu City BPS, I Ketut Dibia, said that there are 3 important indicators, namely, Palu City Inflation in May 2024, Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of Star Hotels in Palu City and Number of Air Transport and Sea Transport Passengers in the Palu City area in April 2024 .

In May, the city of Palu experienced inflation of 0.20 percent compared to the previous month and 2.24 percent compared to May of the previous year. The biggest cause of inflation is in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco commodity, namely trevally/tude fish with a value of 0.12 percent, while the biggest contributor to inflation in May this year compared to the previous year is in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco commodity, namely rice with a value of 0.64 percent. .

The number of commodities monitored in calculating the Consumer Price Index was 379 commodities, of which 66 commodities experienced an increase and 57 commodities experienced a decrease.

Meanwhile, the Star Hotel Room Occupancy Rate during April decreased compared to the previous month, namely 47.12. Judging from the number of guests staying during April, it fell 7.50 percent compared to the previous month.

and for the development of Palu city transportation, the number of passenger activities via Mutiara Sis Aljufri Airport in Palu City during April 2024 was recorded at 69,020 people or an increase of 11.68 percent compared to March 2024, while for sea transportation the number of passengers was 19,124.
