Abstract

CPI monitoring of 82 cities nationwide, 78 cities experienced inflation and four cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in the city of Manado, at 2.86 percent, while the highest deflation occurred in the city of Bau-Bau by 1.54 percent. Palu City experienced inflation of 0.49 percent, ranks 8th highest inflation in the region Sulampua and 41st nationally.
Price index increase occurred in the group of food expenditure (2.79 percent), clothing (0.63 percent), health (0.57 percent), as well as food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (0.25 percent). While the price index decline occurred in the group spending the transport, communications, and financial services (0.94 percent), housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel (0.03 percent), as well as education, recreation and sports (0, 01 percent).
The inflation rate of calendar year in Palu until November 2016 was 0.34 percent and year on year inflation (November 2016 to November 2015) amounted to 2.31 percent.
