Abstract

Palu Municipality is ranked 45th in the highest deflation nationally and ranked 11th in the Sulampua region.

The increase in the price index occurred in the education, recreation and sports group (1.71 percent), processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (0.86 percent), foodstuffs (0.46 percent), and health (0.12 percent ) While the decline in the price index occurred in the transportation, communication and financial services group (0.44 percent), housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel (0.07 percent), and clothing (0.04 percent).
The inflation rate for the calendar year of August 2018 was 3.37 percent and year on year inflation (August 2018 against August 2017) was recorded at 3.65 percent.
