Abstract

CPI monitoring of 82 cities nationwide , 78 cities experienced inflation and four cities experienced deflation .

The highest inflation was in Tanjung Pandan amounted to 2.34 percent , while the highest deflation occurred in the city of Jayapura at 1.10 percent . Palu City experienced inflation of 0.39 percent , ranks 13th highest inflation Sulampua Region and 64th nationally .
Price index increase occurred in the group of education expenditure , recreation and sports ( 2.68 percent ) , clothing ( 1.01 percent ) , housing , water , electricity , gas , and fuel ( 0.30 percent ) , transport, communications , and financial services ( 0.28 percent ) , health ( 0.25 percent ) , food , beverages , cigarettes and tobacco ( 0.14 percent ) , and foodstuffs ( 0.07 percent ) .
Year to date inflation to 0.64 percent in July 2016 and inflation year on year ( July 2016 to July 2015 ) was recorded at 3.25 percent .
