Abstract

The development of the number and percentage of poor people in Palu City during the period 2012 - 2016 tends to decrease, although at the end of the period experience fluctuation. In 2012 the number of poor people as much as 30.1 thousand people (8.58 percent), in the year 2013 as many as 25.9 thousand inhabitants (7.24 percent), In 2014 25.67 thousand people (7.05 percent) In the year 2015 slightly increased slightly to 27.19 thousand inhabitants (7.42 percent), and in 2016 decreased again to 26.24 thousand inhabitants (7.06 percent).
Compared to 2015, the Poverty Line of 2016 rose by 7.72 percent, from Rp. 416,596, - per capita in Year 2015 to Rp. 451,437 per capita per year in 2016.
Compared to 2015, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) shows a slight increase in the 2016 period from 0.97 to 1.19. This indicates that the average disparity in spending of each poor on the poverty line increased slightly, meaning that the average expenditure of the poor is rather likely to stay away from the poverty line.
Poverty Severity Index (P2) also experienced a slight increase from 0.27 in 2015 to 0.32 in the period of 2016. This shows the inequality of spending among the poor increased slightly.
