ECONOMY OF CENTRAL SULAWESI 9.98 PERCENT GROWTH IN 2016

Abstract

Central Sulawesi's economy in 2016 as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices reached Rp 120.33 trillion and GDP per capita stood at USD 41.15 million, or US $ 3,092.71.
Central Sulawesi economy grew 9.98 percent in 2016, slowing down compared to 2015 amounting to 15.52 percent. On the production side, the highest growth by Business Sector Manufacturing of 35.12 percent. On the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by Component Overseas Export of goods and services amounted to 110.66 percent.
Central Sulawesi Economic fourth quarter of 2016 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2015 (y-on-y) grew by 3.80 per cent slowed down when compared to the same period the previous year by 15.11 percent. On the production side, the highest growth by Business Sector Financial Services and Insurance amounted to 23.04 percent. On the expenditure side the highest growth achieved by Component Overseas Export of goods and services amounted to 68.49 percent.
Central Sulawesi Economic fourth quarter of 2016 increased 1.83 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). On the production side, it is caused by the effects of the increased activity of insurance and financial services in the final quarter of 2016 to encourage the movement of business field Financial Services and Insurance which grew 8.35 percent, Real Estate which grew 6.12 percent and the undertaking of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, which grew 3.92 percent. On the expenditure side caused by component Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF), which grew 7.78 percent.
