Abstract

  • Monitoring of 82 cities nationwide CPI deflation are 52 city and 30 other cities experiencing inflation. The highest deflation occurred in the town of Merauke by 2.95 per cent and the highest inflation in Tanjung Pandan 1.02 percent. Kota Palu deflation of 0.61 percent, was ranked the eighth highest deflation city nationally and in Region Sulampua.
  • The decline occurred in the price index of food expenditure group (1.76 percent), transportation, communications, and financial services (1.09 percent), and housing, water, electricity, gas, and fuel (0.64 percent). While the price index increase occurred in the group clothing expenditure (0.47 per cent), health (0.40 percent), food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco (0.23 percent), as well as education, recreation and sports (0, 03 percent).
  • The inflation rate of calendar year up to February 2016, a deflation of 1.01 percent and year on year inflation (February 2016 to February 2015) was recorded at 4.92 percent.
