Abstract

Monitoring of 82 cities nationwide CPI contained 75 cities experienced inflation and seven other cities experiencing deflation . The highest inflation was in Kota Sibolga by 1.82 percent and the highest deflation in Gorontalo city by 0.58 percent . Kota Palu deflation of 0.41 percent , was ranked the 81 cities the highest inflation at the national level and 17th in Region Sulampua .
The decline occurred in the price index of food expenditure group ( 2.99 percent ) , housing , water , electricity , gas , and fuel ( 0.04 percent ) , and health ( 0.02 percent ) .Sedangkan price index increase occurred in the group expenditure foods, beverages , cigarettes and tobacco ( 0.77 percent ) , transportation, communications , and financial services ( 0.29 percent ) , clothing ( 0.18 percent ) , as well as education , recreation and sports ( 0.04 percent ) . inflation rate of calendar year up to January 2016 amounted to -0.41 percent and inflation year on year ( January 2016 to January 2015 ) was recorded at 3.62 percent .
